Junebugs

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

A collection of photos of the boys from the last few days of June.

One day after school last week, it was scorching hot so I took the boys home via the play park.  There was water in the paddling pool.  How do you think this story ends?

Yes, that is Aidan dipping his head in the water:

After the head-dunking, the boys progressed to swimming.  Fully clothed.  Strangely enough, I was a bit too occupied to take photos.  Yes, me.  Too busy to take photographs.  That’s how nutty my sons’ behaviour was.  Needless to say, they were absolutely soaked and had to walk home through town drenched and dripping:

On Friday afternoon, Aidan’s class performed a ‘Caterpillar Boogie’ which his brothers and I went to watch.  This is Aidan wearing his butterfly and caterpillar hats:

In the middle of using the Wii Fit, I nipped out of the room for a minute and, upon my return, discovered that Arlo had decided to do some exercise:

Beach Bums and Barbecue

Saturday, June 19th, 2010

We spent Saturday morning at Crinan Ferry beach.  The blue sky might make it look sunny and hot but there was a very chilly wind whipping in from the sea so we were only able to stay for a couple of hours.

Arlo loved the sand:

Orin doing some kind of crazy semaphore:

Evan found a cup which he used to make sand pies:

Arlo can WALK!

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

Another milestone is reached: Arlo can walk! He finally decided to take more than a few brief steps on Saturday when my parents were visiting. I guess he wanted to show off for the grandparents. So, at 12.5 months (not too shabby for a preemie), Arlo is officially a walker.

This video, however, is of Arlo NOT walking because he decided to just mess about instead, much to the amusement of his big brothers:

In this video, however, he finally co-operated and you can see him walk:

World Cup

Friday, June 11th, 2010

Chris is attempting to engage the boys in the World Cup by having them each support a team.  He has bought them each a t-shirt with their own team on it and a South Africa football too.

Arlo is supporting Brazil:

Evan is supporting Italy simply because his favourite food is pesto pasta:

Orin is supporting Germany because he liked the flag:

Aidan is supporting England because his Daddy was born in England and supporting Scotland is rarely, if ever, an option in international tournaments:
