Bump Progress Photos

Sunday, May 24th, 2009

Since Twinky has decided that he is going to have to arrive early and I am up at the crack of dawn because I cannot sleep, I thought I would make an entry demonstrating the progress of the Twinky bump.

This was the first bump photo, taken at 17 weeks:

19 weeks and 3 days:

20 weeks - which should be halfway but now isn’t!

21 weeks and 4 days:

22 weeks and 2 days:

23 weeks and 3 days:

25 weeks - slightly cheating by sticking my tummy out:

26 weeks and 3 days:

26 weeks and 1 day - something about the floatiness of this top always makes me look more bumpalicious than I actually was:

26 weeks and 1 day - now I know I must be a porker because I remember some people still had not noticed I was pregnant at this point:

28 weeks:

31 weeks:

32 weeks and 1 day - finally looking properly pregnant as opposed to beer-gutty:

33 weeks and 2 days - pulling the top tight otherwise there was no bump in sight:

34 weeks and 1 day - the “pregnant duck” pose:

35 weeks and 2 days - Ugh!  If I had known this would be my last bump photo I would have worn a nicer top:

And, yes, there is always something hanging on the bannister or some random object on the floor of the hall.  I would like to claim they were “studio” props to add interest to the photos but actually I just live in a rather untidy way.

So, next blog entry I appear in I shall be sans bump!

Wish me luck!

Sibling Rivalry Already!

Friday, May 15th, 2009

Evan (who turned two last month) is just now beginning to “get” the whole concept of there being a baby in Mummy’s tummy. He has suddenly become fascinated by my belly, watching the movement and giving baby Twinky hugs. He did give my tummy kisses before now but it has become a bit of an obsession recently.

Anyway, he was sitting on my lap and had his hands on my abdomen to feel the movement. Twinky gave a huge karate kick just on to his hands and he giggled. The he said to my bump:

“Twinkle! I kick your butt!”

 Grin

Just thought I would share the chuckles and the “Aw!” factor.

Garden Play

The sun has been shining (gasp!) for a couple of days so I grabbed that opportunity to take a few snaps of the boys playing in the garden.

More of Orin’s Art

Thursday, May 14th, 2009

Orin is now totally obsessive about drawing.  Every day he comes home from nursery with a whole wadge of drawings and he has gone through a pad of paper in next to no time at home too.  I am glad he is inspired to be creative - but I it also salves my conscience to know that we recycle paper.

Today’s star effort (created at nursery) is this depiction of a whole troop of Stormtroopers.  Hmmm, do you think Orin is inspired mostly by movies?
